Venice the Menace

BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY

It was a hot day, and dry. The wind came from the west, ruffling the mosaic of beach umbrellas that stretched out of sight toward Santa Monica and warming the skin of the bathers splashing in the salty foam.

And then, sometime just after dark on that July 4th, 2007, Venice the Menace was born.

He rose from the ashes of cheap Mexican fireworks, spawned from sea air and fine sand grown clumpy with sweat and beer. And he walked the streets, from Rose to the Marina, and he liked what he saw.

And right then and there, he set out to create something the world had never seen: a new online video network based in world-famous Venice Beach, California...
